The Japanese Kingsville Boxwood was first introduced to the US in 1890. It's name comes from the fact that it was first used for bonsai purposes in a nursery in Kingsville Maryland. Having the smallest leaves of all Boxwoods it has long been a sought after species to turn into bonsai and has also come to be known as Little Leaf Boxwood. Both an American and bonsai classic our Japanese Kingsville Boxwood will liven up the atmosphere of any room it occupies. A great indoor bonsai recommended by the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.
